The opening of the 1710 campaigning season saw much deliberate and careful moving of troops Eastwards into the staging areas around the Northern edges of the King's Road. From there the combined might of the Lunar Heortland Corps proceeded Southwards to capture Jonstown by Freeze/Stasis.
On the opposition side, Sir Ethilrist finally managed to sway Ironhoof that his best interests were to join the Sartar side.
Following the good advice of the local citizens, the party around Laryth Swiftsword decide to leave Dykene as soon as the Sacred Time rituals had been completed, since they had been told with great sincerity that the best time to cross the mighty Seronde River was as early in Sea Season as possible.
By the time the party arrive at the Seronde some 11 days later, they find it in full spring flood, and after several abortive attempts to cross it reluctantly have to ask the sylphs in the Windsword to carry them across this raging torrent.
They continue on into the Elder Wilds, and on Wind/Death sight the impossible peak that is Griffin Mountain. The griffins are long since gone (see the story of Harry), but the intrepid adventurers still decide to climb the mountain, since they are eager to gain the windberries rumoured by Harry to exist at the peak. Suitably refreshed they then continue Northwards, trying to discover the location that was hinted at in their divinations the previous year.
And so, on Fire/Stasis, the group reached a forbidding building deep in the depths of the Er'oring Wilds. But wait I hear you cry... a dwarf in an Elf Forest? The reason the party had managed to survive this was simple - They had come across one of the wandering giants from Gonn Orta's Castle in Gork's Hills, and he provided them with safe passage.
Upon closer examination, the party found the building to be a tall black tower piercing the sky. Inside were found more than a dozen suits of iron plate mail, all with greatswords. And in the cellar Laryth gained part of his destiny. Having slain the avatar of the great vampire, he gained the Prince's Crown.
As part of this sojourn onto the Hero Plane, the group were present at the breaking of the alliance of Arkat, where he turned to the Darkness.
Having regained the mundane plane, they continued to follow their giant guide towards his home.
Sea Season saw a great deal of unplanned travelling for the Humakti party. It all started on God/Movement. The group was making it's way along a track through the countryside, when all of a sudden they were ambushed by a high-level Lunar special assassination squad. This had been sent out on orders of the Emperor himself to eliminate those who had defiled the Temple of the Reaching Moon some years previously.
The fight was very difficult, and as Rowena had been taken out early on with shade shock, the party decided to bug out, using Bink's DI to recover to the Orlanthi temple in Jonstown. In all fairness, the Lunar group wasn't looking too good either, but would likely have won the day had Rowena & Co stayed where they were.
Unfortunately, the party was not aware at the time of the fall of Jonstown, and so were mildly surprised to find themselves landing in a ruin, surrounded by Lunar troops. Thinking quickly, they used a DI spell they had in a moonstone to go to 'the nearest safe temple to Orlanth'. In the rush of the moment, they forgot that the being they were asking was in fact the Red Goddess.
So evening fell, with the party standing in an Orlanthi Temple on the top of a mountain peak overlooking a heavily forrested valley. Laryth's first words were "Oh no - Dorastor!". For the sake of the sanity of the reader, a veil will be drawn across the trials and tribulations the party had in getting down.
